We often say we are going to get something done after a brilliant idea has struck our minds. But then what typically tends to happen is that we realize someone or something is immediately in our way.

And yet, of all the "brilliant ideas" that tend to flash into people's minds, these are but flickers of a desire that needs more fuel and resources to start that fire. I have heard many times that people have this great idea, "but my boss won't let me implement it". Or "If I had it my way, I would be running the business."

Ideas manifest when they are specific. They need to be carefully thought through to refine that "new process or technique" your boss supposedly won't let you do at work. It needs to not only be specific but skillfully "leveraged" into the daily interactions amongst yourself, the growing idea, and the people around you. The idea needs to be educated to the other parties as most of the time when your "boss won't let me do it", your boss doesn't see what you see as the benefits.
