Runners knee is often labeled as a negative consequence of people running too much. That the myth of running marathons is bad for your knees (And marathons are not any length of a race, but 26.2 miles). Legs were meant to bend, walk and run, so the claim that running is bad on your knees seems ridiculous. A friend of mine who works at the Cleveland clinic, said to me that for every 1 lb of weight in our upper body, your knee will feel about 4 lbs.

Really though, my knee related issues are more because I’m strength training too much. That I have lost my flexibility and need to stretch more. Food for thought as I strengthen other aspects in my life, to remember to be flexible and stretch out every once in awhile.
