Mountain Minute: “I want to be an astronaut when I grow up!”

with No Comments

We were all once sold the dream that when we grew up, that we could become whoever we wanted to be. That we just had to shoot for the stars.

Philosophical Engineering

But as reality hit after leaving school, we realized quickly that our dreams were a) not possible anymore b) they required more work and maybe more time to get there, or c) found something else to dream about.

For me, it wasn't a dream that I discovered, but rather a purpose. A purpose to keep discovering what it means to "sing and dance" in life to my own "song and dance". That the everyday beats are the alarm clock getting me up to head to the gym to workout. The chorus of the morning meetings at work. The moments of silence when I found that peaceful rhythm in my work. The jam session of being with friends late into the evening.

It might not be me "dancing with the stars" on TV, but at least I can still be the star of my own "song and dance".

Want to discover your own unique song and dance and design a pathway of what you need and value to get there? Knowing there will be challenges, unlock the fears now that are holding you back from discovering your song and dance. This isn't a book about cliche memes found on Instagram to make you feel good. It's about the practice of philosophical engineering, designing a life worth living.
