“What self-help is...” Oh, great. Self-help. I have that app with all the inspiring quotes to read every day; isn’t that good enough? And if I wanted to learn how to decipher hidden meaning and wisdom, can’t I just find the answers on Wikipedia?

What self-help is = a conscious effort to better oneself and whatever you "play" in life, intend to make the group (those around you) sound better.

What self-help is not = posting cliche memes and lofty ideals without any practicality and/or credibility.

There is a lot of attractive noise all around us. Self-help is learning to compose and drown out the noise that doesn't sound right to you. Through the discomfort of persistent listening to your inner thoughts, will you begin to really hear what you want out of life.
